Sorry my tagboard/flashbox is down for the moment.....got some complications in the html coding// No time to change it. Ok. Tonight is Liverpool vs Reading. Haha, we got to beat Reading in order to avenge for our 3-1 lost earlier this season. Crap lah, Reading should not have been given a penalty, Carragher didn't even foul Doyle!! After that, Gerrard had his shot crashed against the crossbar. So unlucky. Lets hope tonight will be a good match especially with striking sensation Torres at the acme of his Liverpool career!! Yeah! But........... Just received news that Strong center-back Daniel Agger will be out for the rest of the season due to a reccurrence of his injury, so sad. His career and Liverpool had been plagued by injuries. Wishing that his injury would not cause him to lose his form just like Harry Kewell, who is rumored to be on his way out after his contract at the club expires this season. Fulham have been interested to sign him, but just could not afford his high wages. Anyway, whether Kewell stays or leaves, would not make much of a difference- He does not even have the pace, balance, stamina, off-the-ball characteristics required of a winger. Maybe, the only good aspects of his techincal attributes are that of dribbling and passing. Other than that.......nothing else. I suggest Rafael Benitez get a left winger asap. He just cannot rely on Benayoun and Babel. One day, Babel would have to be a striker, and Benayoun is more adapt in playing as a right winger. Maybe an option would be signing Matias Fernandez from Villareal, or maybe wonderkid Aaron Lennon. Actually I think Benitez made the wrong move of offloading Mark Gonzalez to Betis, just only after one season, he has the pace and the attributes of a great winger. Just that he lacks the experience, and Rafa played the aging Bolo Zenden instead of Gonzalez in the last Champions League final. Mark Gonzalez would have been much more threatening to the Milan defence. Ok. GTG now. Hope Liverpool wins. Byebye =) Friday, March 14, 2008, 9:50 PM
Just came back after Chinese Orchestra practice, damn it lah. Just realised that people from other projects day groups have got their projects accepted, however my group's project is still pending, our mentor has accepted it already but we still need the category coordinator's approval, haiz, so troublesome. Prelims in 2 weeks time. Help me!!! Hoping for it to be successful lah. Just discussed with Chenrui to combine the soccer league with both 2H and 2I. Hope the league can start as soon as possible, probably in week 2. Let's hope the planning can be done swiftly. I am very very pro. Haha, have not completed my Math Assignment yet.......after two weeks since it was distributed to us. Lolz. =) Tomorrow I am going to buy the YangQin so that I can train for the DaZhu... Still very noob. XD I feel like keeping this post as short as possible. Hahaa. Good Night. ................ Thursday, March 13, 2008, 10:11 PM
I am still down with a fever. Help! Haha. Byebye Wednesday, March 12, 2008, 9:14 PM
I am down with fever today, so obviously I cannot go for the council camp today that stretches till tomorrow. Today almost the whole day I was lying on the bed recuperating, looking despondent but I am not emo. Haha. So sad, so sad, so sad, so sad................................................... Liverpool beat Inter 1-0, thats my only consolation....Fernando Torres scored again. Xabi Alonso did not play, Lucas Leiva took his place and the impressive performance was an icing on the cake for that wonderkid. I am kind of tired now, I think I will keep this post short and simple. Byebye Tuesday, March 11, 2008, 5:57 PM
It is already the Tuesday of the March holidays, and life during the March Holidays have simply been 'great'!!!! Wow! I didn't know I had so much free time that I could not even start on my ACE Projects. So far, I have gotten 0 for English, Chinese, Science, Integrated Humanities!! Fantastic! Keep it up!!! (haha..trying to be as optimistic as possible) Now I having a post-prandial msn chat......with tons of ACE needed to be done....... Oh shit!!!!!!!! Just realised I had a council camp tomorrow and I have not even started packing. Ah...........I would be busy again.!?!!??? XD Aiya. very sianz of this already...lets talk about soccer. Tonight is Liverpool vs Inter Milan, for the Champions League. Ok? Jamie Carragher would be a centurion tonight also. Haha. I know I am very lame but the UEFA Cup is not the same as the UEFA Champions League, just regurgitating this fact as some of you keep asking me, "Hey Kenneth, wads the diff???" Lolx Yah, tonight is the second leg. I will not be watching it, just reading the itinerary for tomorrow's camp, it states that we would be staying up as early as 1.30 a.m.! WOww finally I can sleep so early...........in the morning........diao... Eh, how come my tagboard like so stagnant ah?...Must publicize....publicize.....haha..... I feel damn sian also because my Yangqin is not up to standards also and next year is already the SYF and I need to go into the dazhu as soon as possible to train. I am also struggling with my Guzheng and piano. 3 instruments ah? Very relaxing hor? your head ah!!! :p Ok.....我到此停笔。下一次才谈吧!!! But I don't think I can post tomorrow. Lets see........haha Byebye. Feeling sianz and also "enjoying" my holiday, I decided to post this............Haha, while listening to music just now, I felt quite emo lah. But don't worry I only get emo if I listen to very very very very sad songs.....so from there you can predict that I listened to a happy and cheerful song(note the sarcasm). Ok...enough of blabbering??!!!??!!!!XDXDXDXD With the permission of my sister, I have written this poem adapted from the original one that was written by her. Of course, only with her permission, I changed part of the content so it would be applicable to a boy, like me. :) The content of this poem is just a figment of my imagination and it has not happened. (This may happen if you are in a co-ed school) Here it is: The 6th gaze............ ![]() The first time I gazed at you.... You were standing there at the bus-stop, wow.... I admit I was speechless, For you became my princess. The second time I gazed at you.... You were jogging at the park nearby, eyes shimmering like diamonds under the blistering heat, but each time I want to go up and say hi, I end up saying 'goodbye'. The third time I gazed at you......... During lunchtime at the cafeteria. White rice, fried egg and bean sprouts. I still remember your exact order. The fourth time I gazed at you...... Saw you performing on stage. So fluent and confident were you. I could only smile and feel proud of you as I watched in the audience. The fifth time I gazed at you.... You were in the library, engrossed in your reading. Amidst with your busy schedule, you still aced your subjects... I was amazed at your brilliance. The sixth time I gazed at you.... School had just dismissed. As you boarded the bus home, I realised to my dismay That you never once did gaze back at me....................... How did you find this poem? Have you recalled similar instances? Haha, pls feel free to tag!!! Ok. I think I am going off now to listen to more happy and cheerful songs........... Aiya! I think the next poem would be just written originally by me lah. Thanks sis! Bye Bye :p Kenneth Sunday, March 9, 2008, 12:42 PM
Ok, I just came back from church and I feel so tired and bored so I decided to post this post??? Haha, I think this season the FA Cup have stirred great shocks. With Manchester United losing 1-0 to Portsmouth due to lady luck smiling on Portsmouth when Man United had a rightful penalty claim and Michael Carrick missing an open goal! Wadde? Sylvain Dystin is pro lah. The ultimate shock is still the 1-0 beating of Chelsea!! I am very delighted=)! Grant had not learnt from Liverpool's mistake when they lost 2-1 to Barnsley...hahahahaha. Liverpool beat Newcaslte 3-0 from goals by Steven Gerrard, Pennant and Torres again XD!! An exquisite finish by the striker and he seems to have developed a great understanding with Steven Gerrard. ![]() Rafael Benitez deployed a 4-4-1-1 tactical move that unlocked the Newcastle defence. I sincerely think that Harper was one of the best players on the pitch although he conceded 3 goals. Ok. I gotta go now. Looking forward to the Inter Milan match coming up. This is the realism of what war would bring. If only this poem had come out during the Literature examinations............................... ~Disabled~ He sat in a wheeled chair, waiting for dark, And shivered in his ghastly suit of grey,Legless, sewn short at elbow. Through the parkVoices of boys rang saddening like a hymn, Voices of play and pleasure after day, Till gathering sleep had mothered them from him. About this time Town used to swing so gay When glow-lamps budded in the light blue trees, And girls glanced lovelier as the air grew dim, -In the old times, before he threw away his knees. Now he will never feel again how slimGirls' waists are, or how warm their subtle hands. All of them touch him like some queer disease. There was an artist silly for his face, For it was younger than his youth, last year. Now, he is old; his back will never brace; He's lost his colour very far from here, Poured it down shell-holes till the veins ran dry,And half his lifetime lapsed in the hot race And leap of purple spurted from his thigh. One time he liked a blood-smear down his leg ,After the matches, carried shoulder-high.It was after football, when he'd drunk a peg ,He thought he'd better join.-He wonders why. Someone had said he'd look a god in kilts,That's why; and maybe, too, to please his Meg,Aye, that was it, to please the giddy jiltsHe asked to join. He didn't have to beg; Smiling they wrote his lie: aged nineteen years. Germans he scarcely thought of; all their guilt,And Austria's, did not move him. And no fears Of Fear came yet. He thought of jewelled hilts For daggers in plaid socks; of smart salutes; And care of arms; and leave; and pay arrears; Esprit de corps; and hints for young recruits. And soon, he was drafted out with drums and cheers. Some cheered him home, but not as crowds cheer Goal. Only a solemn man who brought him fruits Thanked him; and then inquired about his soul. Now, he will spend a few sick years in institutes, And do what things the rules consider wise,And take whatever pity they may dole. Tonight he noticed how the women's eyes Passed from him to the strong men that were whole. How cold and late it is! Why don't they come And put him into bed? Why don't they come? ~Wilfred Owen~ What are your opinions? Pls tag!!! GTG. BB. Friday, March 7, 2008, 6:58 PM
Why do all good things come to an end?
Didn't post for the past few days...had been extremely busy with the sabbaticals ASEAN Summit....projects day stuff (all the nitty gritty issues)........organsing the 2H class gathering.....but too bad......just decided to cancel it yesterday because of a lack of people joining......ah......so busy during the March holidays......I am still doubting whether I should still call it "holidays".........Got chinese orchestra on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and also got Ortus Council camp on Wednesday and Friday..Oh CRAP!!! I just remembered that I had to submit a movie for Literature by the start of Term 2!! What kind of holiday is this???? Also have to download Chinese homework from IVLE...Math ACE to do........haha. I really screwed my this term's ACE... English got 0, chinese 0 math 1, literature 3, humanities 0......u noe what to expect already..... The ASEAN Summit has come to an end sadly...It was indeed a great experience debating and formulating different policies for ASEAN as a collective group of nations. Haiz.....Other than being a delegate for Singapore... I personally liked being in the Economics Committee. Haha! I also made many new friends from different schools, it was a very memorable 5 days, all the jokes...laughter...teasing..sarcasm....will be etched in my memory. ( AH!!!! Sounds so......) I would indeed want to participate in the UN Summit coming up!!! Yeah! Lolx. XDXDXD Haha...I am still elated regarding the 4-0 hammering of West Ham by Liverpool!! Fernando Torres arguably the best Premier League debutant for the past years after Ruud Van Nistelrooy's successful debut in the league with Man Utd. But he has since left for Real Madrid, after a bust-up with Ferguson. What a great and god-like striker! No words can comprehend his skill and I am reiterating the point that his pace, balance, skill, dribbling, and most importantly his finishing is absolutely perfect! Today I also found another Liverpool fan Ming Hao from Jurong Sec during the sabbaticals. His favourite player is Jose Manuel Reina! My favourite players are Javier Mascherano, Xabi Olano Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Torres, Alvaro Arbeloa Coca and Agger. I personally liked the second goal. Haha. GTG. I think it would be a rare chance if I can post again for the mean time>>> So busy. However......bye bye. Sunday, March 2, 2008, 10:34 PM
15 mins to 11pm
I am posting this while watching the Liverpool Vs Bolton Wanderers match. Haha. Gerrard assisted Jaaskelainen in a freak own goal. Gerrard had a shot off target but some how Jussi just pushed the ball into his own net. I hope my joy won't be shortlived, because I am going to sleep. Aha! Just as I finished typing this sentence, Ryan Babel scored! He sliced the ball into the near post after Dirk Kuyt headed the ball that rocked the crossbar. Saturday, March 1, 2008, 8:03 PM
Saturday Evening
Hi all, I am going to keep this post short and simple. Just came back from school and Kenneth Lim's house after doing our Projects Day stuff........Haha! We had a game of soccer for just the four of us, Kent, Peizheng, Kenneth Lim and I, we placed our cans of coke on the pavement and started kicking about, when suddenly Peizheng rammed the ball onto the cans and it spilled. That was fun dude! Lalala Peizheng again!!!AGAIN!!! HAHAHA!! He hit the ball over the fence into the condominium directly opposite! And guess wad!???? Kent, Peizheng and Kenneth Lim just entered the condominium without the security guards permission and just tried to retrieve the ball but it was like in the drain which was 1.7 metres deep! ANyway we still had to ask the security guards to assist us to solve our "mission" LOLX. I am very happy today also because my favourite player Javier Mascherano signed a new long term deal with Liverpool as he was on loan from MSI Sports Group and was also Attracting interest from Barcelona, he is a great defensive midfielder!!
